As many of you know, FMO launched our podcast last year called the Godly Man Podcast. We launched this podcast on a trial basis for the purpose of incorporating it into our monthly FMO meetings as a lesson and discussion starter. This year we have a brand new vision for our podcast. This year we want to go mainstream. 

 

     Allow me to explain. After seeking advisement from a trusted collective of men, many see the value and potential in what we are trying to do as a ministry at FMO. If we can penetrate the hearts of men and help them to become Godly men, husbands and fathers, we can change the culture of the church and then the world. 

 

     Many men, even in the church are struggling. Many are failing as husbands and fathers, silently hurting and feeling alone. However, that doesn’t have to be the case. The Bible is clear that Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us, he supplies all of our needs, he cares for us in all aspects of our lives, big or little. The problem is that in our struggle and pain, it’s hard for many man to grasp the concepts of faith and surrender, however this combination equals freedom. Our goal is to make sure that men get free and stay free. This podcast is an avenue to help us reach more men then we could ever imagine. 

 

     Our vision is not to invite just my leadership team to the panel, but to invite guests from all over, with various professional skills, amazing life testimonies, stories of overcoming through Christ and men who can give practical advice in many fields, such as doctors, financial experts, health and fitness experts, tradesmen, pastors, deliverance ministers and much more. We want to build a platform packed with engaging conversations that will provide Biblical wisdom along with practical and professional advice. Our mission is to create a virtual training ground to help men in multiple aspects of our lives. We hope our content will bring healing, lead men closer to God, while also learning how to navigate through the practical areas of our lives in our health, finances, relationships, etc. 

 

     This is where you come in. Many have expressed interest in supporting this mission. Last year for a typical filming setup, we had to assemble a temporary studio, move around the churches equipment such as cameras, lights, wires and sounds boards. This would take a long time to set up and break down, usually causing long nights for those involved. Due to this, we weren’t able to film as frequently as we would have liked. This time around, the church has come up with a dedicated space for us. This is amazing because we can set up our studio once and after that, all we have to do is show up and film. That’s the first check box that has been marked off. The box that needs to be checked off next is equipment.

 

     We need cameras, lights, cables, sound equipment, etc. to properly set up our studio and produce a quality product. Since we are representing the Lord, we must do things with excellence. This unfortunately, comes at a cost. 

 

     In order to purchase quality equipment, we need to raise around $6,000. This amount will allow us to set up a permanent podcast studio at Oasis, where we can create digital content that will bring people to Know God, Find Hope and Make a Difference.      Our vision here might be starting with the men, but through this project, Oasis will be able to reach men, women, children of all ages.
